Coats for Kids FAQ

 

A: Coats are available through Knights Gear Coats For Kids USA in the United States and Knights Gear Coats For Kids Canada in Canada.

How does payment work?

A: All orders must be paid for in full at the time of check out using a credit or debit card. For more information, visit Officers Online in the Desk Reference Section.

Who has access to order the coats?

A: Anyone within the council that has access to a credit/debit card.

How much is the cost of shipping?

A: Price of shipping is included in the cost of the coats.

How can my council receive featured program credit for this program?

A: Councils must purchase 6 or more cases of coats of any style in the United States and 4 or more cases of any style in Canada. Yes, they could be of different styles.

Can I still receive one credit if I order from a different vendor or less than the required cases?

A: Yes, you will still receive one credit towards the Columbian award if you purchase less than the required cases to receive featured program credit or if coats are ordered from a different vendor.

How much are the coats?

A: Coats cost $ 381 CAD per case of 12 coats and this price includes Delivery

 
How do the coats ship?
A: The cases of coats will ship via Canpar or UPS if the order is under 12 cases.
If your order is over 12 cases - we will ship by truck.

Truck Shipments will be arranged by the warehsous and the trucker must be able to contact the person responsible for accepting the coats.  The coats will come on a pallet and we greatly prefer shipping to a location with a loading dock.  When this is not possible - we can hire a Lift Gate Truck that can drop the pallet in the Parking area of your delivery point.  The truckers are not hired to perform inside delivery so your council will need to be prepared to unload the cases from the pallet and bring them indoors.

Prices appear to be higher than past years, why is this?
A: The Knights of Columbus has worked closely with our supplier to secure high-quality coats at an affordable price for this year’s Coats for Kids program. As in previous years, the final cost of coats reflects several external factors. Due to increased costs for the programs, prices for coats have increased by $3 CAD per coat ($36 CAD per case of 12 coats) for toddler, child, youth, teen, and adult size coats. Lightweight coats have increased by $1.50 CAD per coat ($36 CAD per case of 24 coats).
